The story of our School

Our school was founded in 1957 titled “Agiou Panteleimonos single class Elementary School”.
It’s operation began during 1958-59 school year. Initially, until December 1958, it was housed in the old church of Agios Panteleimonas. Then, for the next three years it moved into the upper floor of an apartment next to Mpozaitika train station.
The first teacher/director of the school was Ms. Maria Mprila.
Construction of schooling facilities began by the end of 1959 in an area of 570 square meters purchased by Mr. Spiros Linardatos. The building was prefabricated and had been offered by the Italian Government as war compensation. During the years that followed a lot of additions and alterations were conducted to the building in order to address various operational needs.
In 1964 the school was upgraded with an extra class.
During 1967 it was renamed to 49th Elementary School of Patras.
A few years later (1974-75) it was promoted to a three Class School and during 1995 a forth class was added.
From the school year 2000-2001 it operated as a 6-classes School.
Since school year 2002-2003 it started to operate as a full-day school.
School year 2004-2005 added two more classes and an extra class for the deaf and hearing impaired students.
During 2006-2007 it was again promoted to a 10-classes School.
